Herndon Gallery
Artist Submission Guidlines
Proposals are reviewed for solo and group exhibitions at the Herndon Gallery by a rotating committee of Antioch College faculty. There are no fixed deadlines or submission fees. However, we generally review submissions in November for the following year.
Work exhibited in the Herndon Gallery must meet our mission: to advance public understanding of issues surrounding social justice and/or environmental sustainability, boradly construed. We are especially interested in work by artists in traditionally underrepresented groups. We host one "environmentally" themed exhibit each year and are especially interested in submissions fitting that (rather borad) description. We exhibit emerging and established artists. Please look at our past exhibitions to see if your work seems to resonate with the sorts of exhibits we generally promote.
Although we review all materials we receive, we prefer that you send:
1. a completed submission form
2. a resume or vitae
3. a CD of images (in either powerpoint or as jpegs)
4. an image list corresponding to the file names of the images you send (must include title, date, media, and SIZE)
5. an artist statement that reflects the work you submit
6. a brief cover letter with pertinent contact information, including a web link if available.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND SLIDES.
We will contact you if we're interested in exhibiting your work.

Please download and complete the:
Artist Submission Guidelines and Application Form (pdf, 57k)
contact the director if you have any questions regarding this process.
