9:00 – 11:15 Arrival & check-in

11:15 – 1:15 Welcome luncheon with parents

1:15 – 2:15 Campus tour (optional for parents)

2:15 – 3:15 Introduction to Environmental Studies

3:15 – 4:15 interpretive hike

4:15 – 6:00 Outdoor Education Center orientation, check into dorms

6:00 – 7:30 Pizza party

7:30 – 9:30 Community building activities

9:30 – 10:30 Snack, gather in dorms

11:00 Lights out

Tuesday, July 29 through Thursday, August 7    

8:00 – 8:45 Breakfast

(Monday, August 4: Return from home by 11:00am; photography until 12:00)

8:45 – 9:00 Morning meeting (Program Coordinator meets with students)

9:00 – 11:30 Morning session

11:30 – 12:00 Break

12:00 – 12:45 Lunch

12:45 – 1:30 Dorm time/ Study break

1:30 – 3:00 Afternoon session

(Friday, August 1: Go home for weekend)

3:00– 4:00 Snack/Break

4:00 – 5:30 Second afternoon session

5:30 – 6:00 Dorm break

6:00 – 7:00 Dinner

7:00 – 9:30 Evening program

  • Attend preserve lecture series or forum
  • Screen & discuss environmental documentary
  • Attend community events
  • Nocturnal interpretive hike
  • Visit to observatory
  • Fun night out

8:45 – 9:00 Morning meeting (Program Coordinator meets with students)

11:30 – 12:00 Dorm break – pack up

12:45 – 2:00  Prep for presentations with faculty

2:00 – (finished) Closing reception & presentations
