The Bonner Program at Antioch

The Bonner Program at Antioch supports the service activities of up to 50 students a year. These students provide 10 hours of service per week in the community, and have access to the Bonner Community Fund. Bonner students vote on proposals for use of community funds. Community involvement can include work within the Antioch community, in the greater community (Yellow Springs, Dayton, Xenia, Springfield, New Carlisle), and on Co-op. This year, for example, a major trip for Katrina Relief was funded, as well as community projects in Alaska, El Salvador, and Bosnia.

The Bonner Leaders Program is a campus-based student service program that partners with more than 350 faith-based and secular community-based organizations to address education, human needs, education, public safety, and the environment.

The Bonner Student Congress: www.bonner.org/campus/congress/home.htm

As an advisory council to the Bonner Foundation, the Bonner Student Congress provides information, energy and opportunities for leadership to the Bonner Program. The Bonner Congress, when together, represents more than 2,500 students and connects nearly 70 college campuses through the Bonner Scholars and Bonner Leaders Programs. Each of these schools contributes to the expansion of the Program. Utilizing the Bonner Congress to its full potential provides resources accessible to students on each campus and the people of each community.

The Bonner Partners program : www.bonner.org/campus/partners/home.htm

The Bonner Partners Program is designed to forge relationships between the Bonner Foundation, Bonner Scholars and Leaders, and the Bonner campuses with select national and international service organizations. The intention of this endeavor is to seek out and develop ways in which members of the Bonner community might benefit one another—such as through utilizing summer internships, alternative break projects, cross recruitment opportunities, post-graduation opportunities, participation in funding collaborations, sharing resources, and more.

The Bonner Web-Based Reporting System (BWBRS) : www.bwbrs.org

Currently, each campus in the Bonner Program uses the Bonner Web Based Reporting System (BWBRS) to track students’ enrollment status, hour logs, and service accomplishments.
