In the early 70’s, an inter-library loan librarian, Jadine Surette went on a ski trip and broke her leg. After that, Joe began saying to everyone, “Don’t Fall Down”. It became a catch-all phrase for him to express that you were important to him and that he cared for you, it was Joe’s way of expressing endearment.
