Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Director of the Brazilian Ecosystems Program for Antioch Education Abroad

Teaching Responsibilities
At Antioch College, where she has been on the faculty since 1999, Dr. Kolb is responsible for courses in ecology, natural resource management, and conservation, for the education abroad term in Brazil.
She also teaches a summer course on campus that focuses on major types of landscape disturbances common to the neotropics. Her research interests include seed dispersal, patch dynamics, restoration ecology and ecosystem management.
Scholarly Interests
Dr. Suzanne Kolb has conducted field research on habitat restoration in Brazil and Costa Rica, which has been funded by the World Wildlife Fund, the Smithsonian Institution, and the National Science Foundation. Her work in this area has been cited in graduate level textbooks published by Cambridge University Press, and by John Wiley and Sons, Inc.
Before coming to Antioch College she taught ecology and environmental science for four years as a full time faculty member at universities in the U.S.
