Teaching Responsibilities
Scott teaches a wide range of courses in philosophy and political theory, including Critical Thinking, Epistemology, History of Western Philosophy, Contemporary Philosophy, Legitimation & Capitalism, Existentialism, Metaphysics.
Scholarly Interests
Scott is active as a scholar in the areas of contemporary critical theory and radicalism, and is the author of The Emergence of Dialectical Theory: Philosophy and Political Inquiry (University of Chicago Press) and The Successful College Student (forthcoming). Scotts primary interests in political philosophy focus on his concern for human liberation, radical democracy, and community.
Before coming to Antioch he taught philosophy and political theory at Occidental College, The Claremont Graduate School, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Otis-Parsons Art Institute, Pamona College, and Denison University.
