'Colleges That Change Lives' Features Antioch
The most recent edition of “Colleges That Change Lives,” published July 24 by Princeton Review, again includes Antioch College.
Loren Pope, former New York Times education editor, first published the book in 1996, championing 40 less-well-known colleges for their life-changing success with students.
These two public and 38 private colleges and universities are praised for their collaborative, values-based learning and a sense of community that help inspire student success.
Pope also repeats his summation of Antioch’s qualities:
“There is no college or university in the country that makes a more profound difference in a young person’s life, or that creates more effective adults (than Antioch).”
Other institutions profiled in the book include Reed, Beloit, Kalamazoo, Clark, and Lawrence colleges.
