Financial Aid

Making inquiries and arrangements for financial aid is the responsibility of the student. Many students have been able to apply financial aid from their home institution to the AEA in Germany Program.

• Early contact with the home institution's financial aid and study abroad offices is strongly advised.
• According to the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (102-325), federal financial aid is transferable and applicable to study abroad.
• Individual payment plans through Antioch Education Abroad may be arranged.

AEA has compiled a list of resources for outside grants and scholarships that may be applicable to this study abroad program. We strongly recommend that students begin the scholarship and grant application process as early as possible, as these deadlines may differ considerably from AEA deadlines.

Outside Scholarships can be of great help. In past years our students have been very successful applying for German Academic Exchange Scholarships (DAAD). See these links for possible scholarships:

Also, Baden-Württemberg, the state in which the University of Tübingen resides, may offer scholarships. This application must be done through Antioch Education Abroad at the time you apply for Antioch in Germany. Both are substantial financial scholarships.
